Kelly Hoyt, William Stratman and Hank Krause went to fight the Knox Fire and ended up staying on the job for one and a half weeks. Kelly was quick to take these wonderful photos. How many of us get to see such sights very often? We really appreciate her contribution to this website.

The reason for all the helicopter support was due to the Missouri River being close by. Fixed wing aircraft would have a much longer turnaround time. There are seven photographs here that cycle through, ten seconds apiece.
